The Best Way To Learn a New Programming Language

During my university days, I learned C/C++, C#, Java, and Assembly language. During my Industrial Attachment I involved a lot with Java projects. On my final year I also using Java. But on my first job I did VB.NET. I also had been involved in a project using Coldfusion for quite sometime. Personally I prefer to use C# to solve my daily computing problem. But when you need to dig the windows deeper, you need to use the native C++ to do that.

On other platform I have been meddling with Linux, having fun with Bash scripts, playing around with Perl. But unfortunately I did not even use TCL/TK at all.

 .

When I was wowed by Rails, there’s a small part of me that wants to learn Ruby. So I googled around, lo and behold … I found the Best Guidebook In The World.

 .

Quick … run ….

 .

Ruby .. here I come …

 .

hey wait … you have not tell us how to learn a new programming language ….!!!

 .

oh right .. well basically to start you need to find something similar to the Best Guidebook In The World, download the necessary tookit, practice everyday, create something useful for yourself and the community, and keep believing that you read this posting because of your destiny =).

Oh man … I regret above paragraph, I mean … unrelated Title and Content should classify as a Prank right?

Whoa

Whoa..

how long has it been since my last blog post…

Hmm… new job, new flat, new life perspective, new hope … and the same old lazyness.

Back to JSML Shipyard .. meeting old friends and foes. Not really foes though.. haha.. these people are just trying their best to do their job, and sometimes we are crossing lines with different opinion.

Desperately Needed ….

a wife ..* lol *… tons of cash .. *lol* .. and javascript MathML editor … *scream!!!!*

In my search for ideal Equation editor, i stumbled upon MathML, a standard for mathematical equation to be displayed on Web. The standard has been finalized since 2000. It makes me wonder why my radar never take attention to this issue. Maybe i’m not geek enough … *grin*

Anyway, to prevent myself reinventing the wheel, i have been lurking on the web for ideal MathML editor to be featured in LMS.

Wish-me-luck ..

Girls at Finance Dept.

Their computers are having problem again. Jessie said that her PC unable to connect to JDE and MS Word behaves strangely. After questioned her a few questions, i found out that her PC has just replaced from old system. Mosheed only transferred the HD to the new PC. And its my job to clear the mess…

The first thing that i noticed was the missing drivers for her Video Adapter and Sound Card. After sometime spent playing around with her system, i found out that she can’t connect to DHCP server. Damn.. this is quite a problem..

After installed all required drivers, i start probing the network … sigh.. no hope…

After sometime spent nibbling honey-dew and Papaya at canteen, an idea come up in my mind.. although Jessie’s PC unable to get ip from DHCP, but if we assign the IP address manually it might work.

Lo and behold .. it did works… hehehe.. All well ends well eh ??!??

Day of Interviews

So this morning while i was writing (copy-pasting .. obviously) about that Formaldehyde, two friends of mine were having their job interview. The first one is Cicak a.k.a Reza, and the second is Anie (more than just a friend obviously… ^_^ )

Cicak was interviewed at Plant Engineering (somewhere in Shipyard Road, Jurong) and Anie was interviewed at PaninBank (somewhere in Surabaya, which is difficult to find, since PaninBank has 22 offices in Surabaya, 25 Trillion Rupiah worth of assets, 5.4 Trillion Rupiah of networth with CAR 35% …. Hmm i wonder why i know all these informations … =P)

All the best to both of you ….
