A 65 year-old male Singapore Citizen has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 13 Apr 2020 afternoon. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 9 April. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital has reached out to his family and is extending assistance to them

🛒 Supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies
– Have right to refuse entry to those w/o masks
– Purchase quickly, don’t linger

🧺 At markets

– Seniors: Avoid markets; others to help with shopping
– Keep 1m distance from others

🚌 On public transport
– Wear masks on public buses and trains, even after circuit breaker period

– All F&B staff should wear a mask/face shield
– Non-compliance (for SFA-licensed establishments, from 13 Apr): Fines up to $5,000 and/or suspension/cancellation of licences

🚫 Safe-distancing stickers

– On buses, trains; bus stops, bus interchanges and train stations
– Standing spaces and seats to be avoided are marked out
– DO NOT SIT AT THOSE SPOTS

👨👩 Implementing safe distancing measures
– Transport Ambassadors, bus captains and LTA enforcement officers will limit numbers at stations and on buses

🌡 Thermal scanners
– Deployed at selected stations
– Commuters with high temp will be denied entry, and asked to see a doctor immediately

🏠 Stay at home
– Avoid unnecessary commutes
– If you must go out, wear a mask if you are likely to come in close contact with others — eg public transport

Stiffer Penalties for flouting Circuit Breaker
– Many not taking circuit breaker seriously. Over 3k stern warnings issued today
– Do what others do: Stay at Home unless you must go out for essentials
– From 12 Apr, 1st-time offenders: $300 fine
– Re-offenders: Higher fines, prosecution in court
